While studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts we were trekked through the Boston Fenway Victory Gardens, told to find inspiration in the tiny, leased patches of ground. Some victory gardens were tidy, well planned, and others cluttered or amusing. Less enthralling, was the evidence of trysting behind the trees, which colored my view of the gardens. My perspective then shifted above to where I floated over this incredible patchwork quilt of vegetation and lusty humanity, resulting in a map-like image of what moved me about the Fenway Victory Gardens. (Better image is being scanned from a transparency, this one was scanned from a greeting card.)
